House on the Hill

The House on the Hill, Hawes.

Our new Cottage in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Accommodating up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms, our lovely cottage has everything you need for a short break or a longer holiday.

The House on the Hill sits close by St. Margaret’s Church in Hawes, at the head of beautiful Wensleydale. This traditional, stone built cottage has been carefully modernised and provides attractive and comfortable accommodation. This is such a characterful property and is ideally located in the heart of Hawes. Free parking in the communal spaces on The Hill or in the village close by. We are only 200 yards from the centre of Hawes and only 30 seconds walk from the nearest pub!

Our holiday home comes with 2 bedrooms (one double, one twin), a comfortable lounge with large flat screen TV, fully equipped dining kitchen, family bathroom with bath, shower, sink and toilet and a separate WC. All rooms are beautifully decorated with high quality fixtures and fittings. In colder months, the Aga log burner is just the thing for cozy nights, after taking in all that fresh Dales air. We will leave you wood and firelighters for your first night. The 42” flatscreen TV has Freeview and access to Netflix, Prime video, YouTube etc. (account sign-in maybe required). The dual aspect kitchen is spacious and light and has everything guests could need for a comfortable stay. The large dining table easily seats six people. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, toilet, sink and airing cupboard and a lovely view of the church from the shuttered window. Both bedrooms have Bluetooth speaker / radios. Although we are dog friendly, guests are requested to restrict furry friends to downstairs rooms only and not on the furniture. Guests will have access to all of the property. From the front of our cottage you can see the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. We have a small shared yard at the rear with a small table and chairs. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage and the mobile signal is good.
